A nice rework of Joe Bataan’s  “Ordinary Guy” from the musical German collective Jazzanova in celebration of Sonar Kollektiv’s 15th anniversary.  They’ll be releasing a limited 100 hand stamped serial numbered 10 inch Vinyl this November with a bunch of goodies you won’t want to miss.

Here’s the progression of the song starting from Bataan’s orginal doo wop variation in 1967, to a more R&B soul version a year later circa 1968 (it’s the 2nd half of the 1st clip).   The  2nd video clip is the more famous of the versions  followed by the Jazznova rework in vid 3.

Thought I’d add these goodies in here while I’m at it…My favorite remix from LTJ with a nice salsa change up and a live clip from the man himself at the Philippines Arts Festival, Point Fermin Park, San Pedro, California September 10, 2011
