As i was sitting in the walk-in clinic today (turns out it was allergies), i heard a classic opera song playing in the waiting room. It reminded me that it’s not just the hip hop genre that samples. Take David Usher’s Black Black Heart.

The sample comes from french composer of ballets and operas, Léo Delibes. “The Flower Duet” is from Act 1 in Leo Delibes famous opera, Lakmé.
