Do you ever get that long lasting high after a mind blowing concert? Yep, I usually reach that point and I’m currently in that state after seeing the incredibly talented singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé.

She graced her presence once again here in Toronto but not as an opener (she opened for Coldplay this summer) but as a headliner with her own opener (Shawn Hook).

With the smaller and more intimate venue, she kept her band to a minimum with just 3 members and without any backing vocals.  This left her performance very raw and unplugged which I personally enjoyed very much.  Her album Our Version of Events just doesn’t do her voice any justice.  It’s like comparing the sound of vinyl and mp3.  I think fellow audiophiles know exactly what I mean. The following videos are my own and although they’re not professional, you can an idea on how she sounds live.  Believe me, you’ll want to see her live.
